about CAB

Community Acupuncture Berea offers acupuncture in a group setting as well as in individual rooms. As in Asia, where acupuncture treatments usually take place in an open room, the community approach provides individualized treatments in a soothing and supportive setting. Modern research has shown that acupuncture is most effective when treatments are regular and frequent.  With group treatments, supplemented at times with individual sessions, acupuncture becomes accessible and affordable enough for people to obtain the good  results seen in research studies.

Community Acupuncture Berea is part of a movement to address the growing crisis in health care in this country by making simple and effective “people’s medicine” more widely available.  In the midst of a busy and noisy world, it offers people still and quiet spaces for healing to happen. Acupuncture in a group setting is like a quilting bee; each person’s healing supports the healing of the others in the room.

  • If you have particular symptoms or health conditions for which acupuncture may be helpful, my hope is that the community approach will make it possible for you to come for treatments as often and for as long as you need to get better.

  • If you wish to use acupuncture as a complementary way to maintain and improve your overall health, I hope that the lower cost of community acupuncture sessions will allow you to come for seasonal and preventive treatments throughout the year.

Please review this website for more information. If you are interested in integrating acupuncture into your own approach to your health, I look forward to working with you!
