The program was free, with contributions benefiting PeaceCraft, Berea ’s fair trade shop since 1988. The Richmond Register covered the event. Click here for the PDF version of the article.

The World Health Day Celebration hosted by Community Acupuncture Berea on April 7, 2008 was an enormous success!

Over the course of the day, a total of 143 people received free ear acupuncture treatments and another 25 had their pulses read. Many folks stopped by to see the display on global warming and health and to pick up information. Participants contributed $486 to support Acupuncturists Without Borders, the nonprofit organization which provides free stress-reduction acupuncture in communities affected by disasters.

Many thanks to everyone who made the event possible!

On April 5, the Richmond Register published a good description of the day. Click here for the PDF version of the article.
