Douglas MacLaren
tiny star Douglas MacLaren is a nationally-certified and licensed acupuncturist with a Masters in Acupuncture (M.Ac.) from the New England School of Acupuncture outside Boston, the oldest acupuncture training program in the United States.  He is a Diplomate of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  Skilled in Chinese as well as Japanese acupuncture, Doug has experience in a variety of settings, including hospitals, family health centers and private practices.

Doug strongly believes that each acupuncture treatment should be experienced as gentle, calming and respectful.  While he enjoys the Japanese style of acupuncture, with its focus on whole-body balance and its subtle technique for needle insertion and manipulation, Doug is also well-trained in the distal balance method, which aims for rapid resolution of physical pain problems.
